Is it right for you?
Hanover Republic Square puts a pool and a gym on its top two floors, a short walk from most of downtown. Tour reviews glow, but people who live here report slow repairs, a pool that was often closed or dirty, and long waits for the elevators.
A good fit if
You want a pool and a gym on the top two floors, with views over downtown
You'd walk everywhere: Republic Square is 3 minutes away and the 2nd Street District about 7
You'd use a screening room, work rooms and a concierge in the building
Maybe not if
You need repairs done fast: residents in 2025 and 2026 report waits of weeks, and one counted only two maintenance staff
You hate waiting: three elevators serve 310 homes, and residents report waits over 10 minutes when one is down or booked for a move
You want quiet nights: the city logged 10 complaints about outdoor bar music from this address from November 2024 to December 2025

Big event weeks nearby
SXSW. SXSW Conferences and Festivals run March 15 to 21, 2027, with SXSW EDU from March 13. A move in or tour that week takes more planning. This tower is under a mile from the Austin Convention Center.

Questions people ask about Hanover Republic Square
How many floors does Hanover Republic Square have?
44. The building skips the number 13, so its top floor is numbered 45. The garage fills floors 1 to 10, homes start on the 11th floor, and the pool and gym fill the top two floors. The tower opened in 2022.
What fees come on top of rent?
Hanover doesn't publish a fee sheet. Its Zillow listing, read October 30, 2026, shows $288 a month in required fees on studios and one bedrooms. Two bedrooms pay $313 and three bedrooms $363, with no breakdown. The deposit is $400 to $1,000. The website's own cost calculator names an amenity fee, application and admin fees, pet fees, parking and storage, but shows no amounts. Ask for the full list in writing before you apply.
Is there a move-in special?
On October 26, 2026, the official site listed 8 weeks free on a 12 month lease. It added $500 off for signing within 48 hours of a tour. Hanover's posted prices already have the special worked in, so don't take it off again when you compare.
Does Hanover Republic Square allow pets?
Yes, up to two pets per home, with fees charged per pet. Zillow's listing (October 30, 2026) shows a $250 deposit for a pet up to 25 pounds and $500 for a bigger dog. Add a $250 fee and $30 a month per pet. Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Chow Chows, Pit Bull Terriers and their mixes aren't allowed. There's a pet wash room, but no pet relief area on site, so every walk starts at the street.
How does parking work?
The garage has one space per home. Reserved and EV spaces cost extra, and Hanover doesn't post the price. There's no guest parking, so plan on a public garage for visitors.
What problems do residents report?
In 2025, residents wrote that the pool was closed for days or weeks at least three times. In August 2026 one said it was often dirty, with broken glass panels taped over. Early 2026 reviews describe the fire alarm going off almost weekly, repairs that took weeks, and waits over 10 minutes for an elevator. Ask what has been fixed when you tour.
